Safety & Security

SNRI is at the forefront of discovering and building new tools that transform our understanding of energy and matter to enhance Anshar's national, economic, and energy security. SNRI places the highest priority on maintaining and improving its security posture and safety procedures for employees and SNRI's community. SNRI employs physical security officers, cyber security specialists, and other personnel to safeguard our national assets.

SNRI continuously monitors local and world events to prepare for potential risks to our site, our systems, and our employees.

SNRI conducts numerous assessments and drills throughout any given year to ensure readiness in protecting the vital information and assets entrusted to SNRI.
Physical Security
CAS

The information and assets that have been entrusted to SNRI are of high value and consequence to the people of Anshar. SNRI has instituted and implemented a series of security measures throughout the facility designed to deny unauthorized access to those resources. The system is also designed to protect personnel, property, and information from harm, manipulation, or other negative impacts as a result of espionage, theft, sabotage, etc.

Each area at SNRI is graded to provide defense-in-depth with barriers and intrusion detection/assessment systems designed to give the physical protection forces sufficient time to respond to any alarm. In addition, SNRI works closely with the local police, fire, and other first responders based in Utu and with other central government agencies of Anshar.

Material Control & Accounting
Nuclear Fuel

The Republic of Anshar is a proud signatory to the Treaty of the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and has an agreement with the IAEA to establish a national system of accounting for source and special nulcear materials.

Before joining the NPT, Anshar required all sites with radiological and nuclear assets to use international standards to track and account for all materials.

SNRI now uses modern accounting and control systems to effectively track and monitor the use and access to information and material to detect unauthorized access soon after it occurs.

SNRI has designed an implemented a NMAC management system that eliminates ambiguities and ensures the material stored and used by our analysts and operators is safe and secure.
